The First Christmas

This is my submission to the contest currently on

It's supposed to be of Ron/Hermione in their first home, celebrating Christmas together. Whilst drawing this I realised how difficult that is to depict... I thought about drawing boxes they haven't unpacked yet but then I thought, Hermione is living there. Of course they've already unpacked.
So I decided on little details such as an old sofa, as they haven't bought their own yet. Unpapered/unpainted walls, because Hermione wishes to do it the muggle way and they can't agree on a colour yet. Or something along those lines. Anyway they are small details, kind of unnoticable unless I explain them here.

Right so this is my entry, colouring isn't perfect but I'm not great at that anyway. I'm a little unhappy with certain aspects of this but I've got to the point where I've stared at the picture for too long so anything else I do at this point would probably be counter-productive. I'd have to return to it in like a month or something...
