Drawn during my tiring day of planning my next projects. The tediousness of sketchbooks and having to write down my thought plan articulately makes me annoyed.
Especially since my brain doesn't work articulately. It jumps from idea to idea with tenuous (at best) links between them. My sketchbooks never make any coherent sense, then I get marked down for being too random. Screw you art school teachers. DO WHAT I WANT.

I've never had to do a sketchbook like that but I can understand the brain follows tenuous connections that most people can't see, and neither can you later sometimes... :)

They are the worst, and I suck at them. I had a peer assessment recently and they said 'well, you have a good range but I really don't understand what you're doing.'
I just rolled my eyes replying 'Nobody does.'

It's like unintentionally being an angsty teenager. Nobody gets me.

Except tumblr. XD

I have 2 1/2 grown-up semi-writing jobs atm, and I have to work SO HARD to stop the nerdy popculture references form sneaking in. At a meeting on wednesday, my superior, a more experienced colleague and I were talking about how to measure digital reading effectiveness, and I literally said: "Major publishers have to consolidate their efforts into developing a shared digital language that will evolve our reading patterns in a fruitfull way that isn't hindered by legacy limitations because at teh edn of the day: winter is coming, yo."

...

Yup.

And it started off so well. But surely they could appreciate the Game of Thrones reference. I mean, who doesn't love a bit of the Starks?!
